stunned when the cover is pulled off and sitting in the glass case is the first award to be
handed out for the Melba Honors, which is given every year to the best actor and actress.
A white gold star resting upon a black base, lying next to it is a long blue ribbon dignity, style
and charm. The gold tag on the base reads Best Actor.......
Nicholas leans back in his seat as a large face comes out from the smoke. He feels himself
being grabbed from the seat and taken out into the aisle where he is whisked away, not
being able to tell who it is that is taking him. Suddenly surrounded by people he still cannot
see as they shuffle him through a series of winding turns, where he ends up in a room by
himself. Everything is still dark, the door shuts and the sounds of footsteps trail off. Standing
there alone thinking what to do, he hears a click on the wall in front of him. Letters appear
flashing on and off and moving all about in some kind of sequential order.
"They're all here now." Daren is quite amused. "Patricia I never saw anything like it, that
woman sprung around and bolted out to the stage with her arms in the air, waving and
blowing kisses." He pauses as he trys to control himself. "You should have seen it here
she is on center stage with everyone watching, the belle of the ball when she finally
realizes that there is no one in the auditorium except a cleaning woman sweeping up."
Daren cannot finish the story. Douglas continues. "It was quite bizzare I guess she thought
that some of the press had shown up, but the kid who yelled out They're all here now
was talking about papers he was delivering."
Ding, Ding, Ding they almost fall off their bikes as they watch the swinging lantern suspended
in air dance about down below on the old road. The clouds have completely blocked out the
moon, then BOOM the loudest, scariest, earthmoving clap of thunder they have ever heard in
their lives, followed with the eerie sound they have heard before Wooo! a giant ball of light
rushes by in a whirlwind. Sparks fly out of the force that barrels its way right past
them. "Don't watch we must get out of the area." the kid urges. They hear the squealing
tires from the vehicle that was chasing them Wooo! Wooo! they can't help themselves,
turning to see the hugh explosion down in the woods.
